The Armed Forces Reserve Center is a joint use facility between the National Guard and the United States Army Reserves. It is the third project of this type and scale undertaken as a joint use facility.

The facility is comprised of offices, meeting areas, classrooms, a large assembly area, storage areas, arms vaults, maintenance facilities and customary ancillary spaces.

Whitaker Architects' responsibility as part of the design team was to provide quality control review and value engineering services during the design phase of the project and construction quality control and construction administration services on a full time (40 hours/week) basis during the construction phase of the project.
